Everything will be ok. I said that I understood what you were saying, but that was not what I was doing. By compatible, I meant equal or better, not compromising.
Nobody said I didn't like your "advice". I only wanted you to know that I wasn't cutting corners.
I'm glad you've worked on your stuff for 40+ years. Congrats. That doesn't mean I'm riding around with bandaids on my bike. You make a lot of assumptions for someone who doesn't know me.
I also couldn't give a rat's ass what the dealership "thinks about my ride". It's the hassle of getting parts for older bikes from them. But what do I know.
