tuning question on my fresh Evo by (Login evobuilder) Horsemen

ok, before I ask my question.... I will say that I know the bike is wired correctly, so we can eliminate that question up front.

I just finished my bike, new evo motor rebuild (branch heads, high comp pistons, screaming eagle ignition, all new everythng, new S&S Super E rebuild with Thunderjet (done by Zippers), two into 1 pipe. It's running SUPER rich (dark plugs, dark smoke) so I need to do some serious tuning, timing, etc. but it runs strong.... just really out of tune.

So my question is this.....

when I fire it and run it, then turn the switch off, it keeps running (as if the switch does nothing). When the bike is not running, the switch works as it should. Could the issue of the bike keeps running when I turn the key off be due to it being soo out of tune?  

Has anyone experienced this? I just want to make sure the continued running (lights and all) after the key is off, could be due to it being soo far  out of tune. Otherwise, I am proably going to have to start looking to replace parts.
