A shit load and a metric fuck ton. Most shops don't even touch an old shitster cuz the cats that own them are flat broke,dirt poor or just too fuckin cheap to buy GOOD parts. The parts aren't so much the issue as the labor. You can do the job yourself as long as the door and case are a married set or line reamed upon installation. If not, you'll know when you see the main shaft bearing surface. Aside from that, it CAN be done with a little forethought and labor on your part. The shop manual covers gear spacing and shift fork sizing. Make sure the shift nub weld is good.
