I did something dumb as usual. After a long day fighting traffic in the heat I filled my heritage tank and didn't tighten it enough. the tank is black on the top,cream in the middle. overnight of course gas leaked and some of the black seepend stained over the cream, like a light coffee colored stain. Looks kinda lousy. Don't know if the paint seeps down a layer or two but want get as much off as possible without killing the rest or doing a repaint.
doesn't have to be perfect.
advice?
