If you have a 520 cam in there now then stay at that lift

or less(don't go below .500" tho) and get a shorter duration cam ie:225, to 235 degrees, for better off the line performance. the longer duration cams are for higher RPM running like top end and 90 mph running. the shorter duration cams will help a heavy bike and any bike around town and on twisty backroads.I recommend Andrews cams for damn good quality.
