I would have sent this via email, since it's not really tech, but you don't post it. At least it's not bumping anyone off the page.

If it's her insurance, ask if there's a way you can keep the bike.

When my Caddy got hit, the chick did $1500 worth of damage, which would total out a '79 caddy. I would have gotten $1388 if they had totaled the car & taken it away. It wasn't that much damage, just the bumper & (fairly rare & expensive) good condition fiberglass "endcaps". I asked if there was anyway to keep the car. They said it would be a $75 difference if they didn't total it. So I got $1313 and kept the car & title.

All that just to say talk to them, even though you'll get less money from insurance, you might come out ahead by not needing to find a titled frame.
