G4M1 W2-373 of 752 Kokutai, Paramushiro Island, Kurile Islands, May 1943 (May 23, 1943 attack on US forces and fatal interactions with Amchitka-based P-38 Lightnings at Attu Island, Aleutian Islands, Alaska).
This is coming together very well. The wings and vertical tail are not glued on yet. Tamiya white surface primer was used to prepare the orange-yellow leading edge marks and the tail, that will have white stripes on it. I used the Eduard canopy mask set - a huge time-saver as this aircraft has about 97 separate windows.
Next I will be pre-shading of the panel lines with flat black and picking out random panels in flat white and IJA green, then the overall top-colour will be applied - I am going for Tamiya IJA green with some olive drab added and lightened with white to provide aerial perspective.
I haven't decided whether I am going to do the hinomaru with decals or masks - I am leaning towards decals as all the upper surface national marks all have white outlines. The white tail-stripes will be done with masks.
The quality of this kit is amazing.
