Tamiya Nakajima Type 11 in-progress

Taking a break from my usual models of WWII Luftwaffe I started a build of a Japanese Irving from the 1/48 scale Tamiya kit.

The cockpit...

The airframe is assembled and given a base coat of green...

Here I have started the paint fading process be spraying on some various shades of green and tan in streaks and mottles on various panels

The model was given another thin coat of the base green color to tone down the paint fading effect

Some of the paint chipping has started...

...and here is (almost) the last of the paint chipping, there might be more after the decals and flat clear coat are on the model.
