Hi everybody,

After several years spent reading Hyperscale, here is my first post. It's the recent Hasegawa's KI 44 OOB. No decals were used for the paint scheme.

Enjoy.

Sorry Ludovic, it was a really crude joke!

Your model is inspirational, and very-very well finished. So far this is the most realistic masterpiece over the same years of joint hyperscaling...happy.gif

How did you mask all thethings? (I mean, how could you avoid damages to the metal surface?)
Do You have some log on this project?

The last picture really kills.

Regards,
Gbor

I had a look on Your thread, and it was very good step-by-step. The fact is that I thought the metal finish is poished metal laquer, like alclad. On the photos it really tricked me. Of course it does not take away anything from the quality of the work!

I am planning a Ki-43 from Hase with the same mottled green over natural metal finish. That will be 1:48 scale. Do You think that this tamiya paint would look the same realistic than on Yours? (scale effect) That would make my life easier...

The site is quite good, and it is a huge help to me that there is translated version. Unfortunately, I can't speak French, however, it wasn't a problem when I found a model shop in Paris..they were extremely friendly to help me out. (Gosh, how much I left there...happy.gif )

Scale Aviation Modeller & Wingmasters

November 5 2009, 1:15 AM

Hello everyone,

Great thank you for your comments. I do not know if you can get it everyhere you are, but an article in English language is under development for the magazine SAM. It should appear in two or three numbers. For those who speak French, you can try to get my article in the magazine WingMasters 73.

In the future, I'll try to be more present on Hyperscale. The major problem is my English, not the best...

Regards, Ludovic
