@ leon yes, it's true... putty is really nasty to work with. I remember reading about using baking powder as a kind of accelerator for the super glue, should I give it a try?
yes, I think that's a good idea about the fuel tanks. they are not totally ruined yet, so it's surely worth a try
it's very hard for me to not think about building a perfect model. it really drives me crazy if I make mistakes and I really hope that I will finish that model and not put it away to start a new one just because I know it will not be 100% perfect. I guess that's an issue every modeller has to deal with, right?
