"A guy posted some pics of a Superstar here awhile back, and IMO you could not tell them apart."Although the stock on the CFX Royal is itself very nice, the BSA Superstar is definitely better quality. BSA say they couldn't afford to keep manufacturing them at a competitive enough price (I've got both rifles in .22).
If it wasn't for the weight factor -- however, it's lighter than its Air Arms or Weirauch equivalents -- I'd say the Superstar is overall the best rifle I've got (the others being FX2000, Gamo 440 and CFX, Webley Longbow).
