you hunt in close cover there's nothing better than a load of #2's from a 3in. 12ga. When I was a kid my brother would carry a Browning Auto5 while I used a .6mm Remington bolt gun or a .223 Mini 14, if they came in close, he took them, farther out and they were mine.
