65 yards. And still packs plenty of wallop at that distance. I also have a 1250 in .177 that groups within 2" at 70 and still punches through a soup can at that distance. Unfortunately the 1250's are higher than your budget. Also they can be hard to learn. You could look for a used one. I have seen some sub $300 prices on Diana 350's as well, but they are not as powerful as the 1250 or PCP, so I think 50-60 yards at the maximum on those for hunting. I think airgun hunters try to get within 50 yds most of the time even with PCP. Good luck.
