I bought the RWS c-mount, which I believe is made by B-square. Since then, I have found that B-square sells the same, or similar mounts (some have 4screws to hold on rail) for $45 or less.
$35 at compasseco.com click on scope mounts and then B-square (sorry I don't Know how to insert hyperlinks).
They are solid mounts. You can install the stop pin or leave it out, if your rail cannot accomodate. They are certainly expensive compared to accushot and Gamo mounts, but the finished product is so nice.
So you put the scope in the mounts, adjust the mounts as close as possible to the bull then use the scope adjustments to fine tune, but w/ some luck and very small mount adjustments you can get the windage spot on and the elevation pretty close. An added benefit is that these b-square mounts are on gimbals, so there is not stress on the scope.
