Response to scope sliding on the scope rail

The technique I've become accustomed to is: after placing the pellet mostly into the breach opening, I use the back of my fingernail to push it all the way in. It seems that the curve and hardness of the fingernail gets the pellet seated "home" and avoids crimping of the skirt when the rotary breach is closed.
