Stop foolin with all those fancy mounts... get yourself some good old fashioned duct tape and your problems are over... just try not to let the tape get in front of the lenses...
I'm new to air rifles and have heard they are tough on scopes... I have a shadow hunter and must say that the system that came with it works well... there is a pin incorporated in it that keeps it in place and in about 1500 shots ive had no problems.
