wood over synthetic. Although whatever Gamo uses is not the fanciest of woods. I think my crank baits have higher quality wood in 'em. I hope someone out there will help us with that situation.....

Gun wise, isn't the hunter elite the new 1250?
If so that thing is a beast at slinging lead. I'm sure the other guys will ring in and let ya know.

I wish I had the hunter elite, but both are great guns. Let us know what you decide.

Matt

A while back...

I bought the Cabela's Outfitter Series air rifle which appears to be a Gamo or it's an extremely well-made B19. Anyway, I took the action from my Shadow and it was a drop-in fit to the Outfitter stock. The wood wasn't top-notch and has a "soft" tendency but it does look very nice. I like both synthetic and wood... probably because as I get older the wood stocks are great for my museum and the synthetics are able to withstand my increasing lack of coordination.

You know...

it's easy to get caught up in these things and it's weird as I go through my "gun" phases. I love my Gamos, Quests and Cabelas guns but my RWS and Beeman are so much fun to shoot as well. Oddly enough, my Remington Pumper is one of my most accurate and easiest to shoot of all my guns - very forgiving. Of course I've been tinkering with my new XS-B3 (mock AK47)... that thing is a riot! Hi, my name is Charles and I'm addicted to air guns. hahaha!!!

But the best deal for a new gun out of the two is the Viper. The money saved on the Viper can help buy a better scope later like an AO. A friend of mine has one and it has the best stock due to the rubber inserts out of all the Gamo polymer stocks.

Friend at the time better is the Viper, to another question the viper and the Elite they are of the same size and thickness of the cannon truth, for which in the photo of the gamo the cannon of the Elite meets like bigger and thick thank you..
