Very helpful people, lots of good help/info on this forum, yes it appears I have a broken spring i'll have to order the replacement spring you had mentioned as i shoot my rifle a lot(it is the only gun i can shoot without going somewhere else as everything else is too loud for the neighbors)and I would rather have an aftermarket product that will stand the test of time, besides i really do not want to wait on gamo, as i am sure that i could do it myself. But just in case here are the pictures anyway. Tell me what you think? Broken mainspring? If the mainspring is broken is it possible for the rifle to still fire?(as when i can get it to cock the rifle still fires). Also the rifle came with a scope that i just can not get to hold a zero, so i am using the iron sights. The scope says bsa 22 special on it. What are your experiences with this scope, is it any good? Would like a scope but iron sight are ok if I HAVE to use them(and in this case i have to use them).Tried everything i can think of with this scope, centering the scope, remounted several times, used a plumb line and bubble level to make sure the reticle bisected the rifle, all to no avail, only other thing is to try adjustable mounts, or get a different scope, as this being a springer may have to much barrel "droop".
