Last weekend I went to Cabela's and bought one of the Cabela Outfittres thumbhole stock stainless rifles in 177 cal. I got it for $130.00 with the 3-9 x 50 scope. Its definately the Gamo/crosman action but what I,m wondering is, when I was looking at the new rifles in the store I noticed they also had the same rifle in 22 cal. What I want to know is ? Does anyone know where I could order the 22 cal barrel to convert this rifle? { already checked the Benji and Crosman site with no answer. Gamo does'nt offer to many of their rifles in 22 cal either so who's making them ? Please help, John
Dunno. But in a previous revision of the Quest diagram...

...the spring listed was the 500fps Canadian part. That would explain needing a different) more powerful) spring in .22 vs .177 to achieve the same Canadian-non-PAL-mandated 500fps (and therefore twice the power) with .22 weight pellets, although it would still be wimpy by US standards.
No such difference in spring ratings would apply to the full-power US version.
So if you want to order a spring from this list, care is indicated.
Pretty sure the Cabela's spring guns are made by Crosman. Give Crosman a call and tell them what you are looking for. If they sell the nickel plated .22 to Cabela's you may get lucky.
