powerplant is built like a tank so it can top 30fpe with some serious tweaking. So it could be an outstanding performer in .25....could be. But Gamo wants to sell .177s to help promote their ridiculous fps claims.

and the best I can remember, they cranked out some serious energy for a springer.
Keep in mind that Rich probably did more than just add a barrel.
I have an s1k in .17, and it is a very good shooter now, after some work.
I agree, Gamo needs to come down on thier prices. Thier guns can be made into good shooters, but should not command the pricing they are getting straight out of the box.
Seems like BAM is the only airgun manufacturer that has thier pricing on track, but they have been steadily going up.
