This is from Rob Ferr:
Had 3 usapl national judges this year-they were consistant but the pauses were 2-4 seconds long, this was the longest pauses i've ever had in a meet, even with these same judges.they were extremely strick.
the lifts in this meet can not be disputed, thats for sure.
in the pro division
1st Dewyne Neeley(? spelling) at 197 hit 600,missed 635 and came back and got 650-with a long ass pause, this was a grind out lift. Then he tried a all time wr with 685@198 moved it half way missed.
2nd Jesse Kellum at 198 hit 600 with a 4 count pause(it was ridiculious) then dropped 620 on himself, but came back and got 620 with another very long pause, this was a pr for him at 198.
he went a 4th attempt at 635 got it to the lock out but couldn't lock the right arm slightly.
3rd Tiny Meeker at 274 hit 630 opener, then missed around 680 came back and got it,then he tried 715 and missed
4th August Clark at 144 hit opener 465,almost on his second got 480,it went a little more than half way up.then out right missed 490.
5th??????don't know
Only 2 other lifters made lifts in the pro division ,the rest bombed out.I think with a little better judging(real pauses)not a dead stop and then a 2 count the lifts these guys missed would have went. But like I said these lifts could not be questioned, there was no momentum today all muscled up.I want name any one who bombed, there was a few.
