Chrystal is feeling fine after having spent 3 days with mouth and throat pain brought on by the chemo. She has received two units of platlets and two units of packed blood (whole blood minus WBCs). Yesterday she was running a low grade fever which rose above the red-flag number of 101 °F. A chest x-ray was done, presumably to check to see if she had a buildup of fluid in her lungs. In addition, a urinary tract infection was suspected, but no results are currently available.
I do not completely understand the treatment, but she told me that should the fever not break on its own that more chemo may be required. As I find out more on this I will let you know.
Thanks again for all of the support...and you are correct, Bob. She is tough...I even find it difficult to put up with my crap.
