I just wanted to quickly update everyone in terms of Chrystal's progress. Her white blood cell count (WBC) was down to 80 on Wednesday. Initially it was 50,000. Normal is between 5,000 and 10,000. Subsequently, her doctor feels that the treatment is working very well. We should find out how well this morning because a bone marrow sample was taken in an effort to determine whether or not the presence of cancer still existed. She said this procedure was not as painful as she expected...and would do it again if it meant that she could get out of the hospital, but would not ask for it otherwise.
We were married just a few months ago, and are eagerly awaiting a time in which our honeymoon may be resumed. Chyrstal is hanging tough and I expect that it should be a matter of days before she starts on the path of recovery; recovery from the chemo...it has taken a lot out of her. Thanks again, for all of the prayers...
