This is a copy of an email message I wrote to Frank Jabbia (Powerlifting Coach at Slidell High School). Last year he pulled off a major upset; bringing his boys team from a fourth place finish the year before to a 5A State Championship defeating a very strong West Monroe team!

The Gator Invitational is scheduled for December 15, 16. I'm checking with the Basketball coaches to see if it will be possible to pull off the girls session on Friday evening or run two sessions on Saturday. (Per the coaches meeting last year- any meet that exceeded 300 lifters must be run in two days or split sessions). Worst case scenario............ I will limit entries to 300 lifters and first invite those teams that participated last year. Check the Powerlifting on the Bayou Web Site (www.geocities.com/southbeach/reef/7069) for updates.
