I want to thank Paul for another very well run (and fun) meet. As is every meet I compete in, this meet was quite a learning experience. I know that I will miss someone if I try to thank all of those who helped me in one way or another and those who provided the underlying help to put on such a quality meet. So let me just shout out a big thank-you for everyone involved.
Now for my individual lifter comments:
Todd - Kick a$$. USAPL Louisiana State Champion @ 198. Nothing more needs to be said other than way to go. I am very proud of your accomplishement. Oh yeah, thanks for choking me up with your presentation to your dad. No I did not have a tear in my eye...well, maybe a little one.
Tom - Geez-o-pete! How about getting the right shirt next time. I suspect that I do not need to tell you this. You'll take care of business next meet...unless you use your 54 instead of your 52 again.

That wrap your provided is just what the doctor ordered.
Marlon - Where the heck do you put all of your trophies. I did not get to se all of your lifting, but from what I saw and the numbers you produced, you are "da-man".
Billy - That was one hell of a squat. I think that Chrystal caught it on tape. I should send it to Powerlifter Video Magazine so that everyone can see it.

It may not have been your biggest total ever, but you did some fine lifting. Thank you so much for your assistance in tuning my lifts.
Dave - You are right there man. Some big lifting was done by you. I just hope you stay in the 275s.
Paul - You are still the master, and I your student. I still think that you need to make an effort to come and try my form of training for a while, but you did an excellent job kicking my butt today. I still do not know how you do it with spreading yourself so thin. You are a true competitor and gentleman. Thanks for the inspiration you provide to all involved in powerlifting.
Kenta - How do I join "Fat Powerlifters Anonymous"? You did some fine lifting today. I hope to see you involved in many more meets in the future.
Dennis - We need to work that deadlift of yours, but that squat is borderline scary. I am glad that you and Kenta did not train for this meet, otherwise you two would have made the rest of us look bad.
Matt - You did great for your first meet out. I hope you had a great time and decide to continue competitive powerlifting.
Brian - It was good to see you again after so many years. Just a few more meets and you will be back into the swing of things. I had better get my bench moving.
Travis - Some killer lifting if I do say so myself. Please realize that I male does not reach his peak strength until he is in his 30s. I know that is far away, but keep with it...you have plenty potential to make some really big lifts.
George - 148s? Zoinks! I was very impressed with the numbers you came up with at this lighter weight class. I hope you are not looking to drop to the 132s. I don't know where you will lose it. Then again I was not sure where it would come from when your dropped from the 165s.
Steve - As usual you came up with some perfect-technique lifts. Everyone was glad to see you make it up. Perhaps a little time off is something everyone needs. Don't tell Louie I said that.
Devin - I still my Eclipse can take your Celica. Great lifting my man. Thanks for holding my wood after I helped you undress.
Kenny - You need to quit playing around with the weights and get serious. Don't make me have to get rough with you. You would hate to have me sit on you.
Now for non-competing individuals:
Larry - Get your butt back to Bayou Fitness. It was great seeing you again. You are still the master of the bench shirt and the hand-offs were picture perfect. I don't remember whether or not you were in the team photo, but I sure hope that you were.
David C. - I told you the straps were not too tight. I am just glad you were there to help me get them up. I hope that you start making into the gym on a more regular basis. It is my opinion that a five-week training cycle will not cut it. It was good to see you at the meet anyhow.
Reed - You know what you did...you didn't need to do it, but Chrystal and I appreciate it immensely. You are one heck of a thoughtful guy. Special thanks goes out to all who were involved in this surprise.
I could spend a lot more time than I already have, but I am whipped. It is almost time for me to go to bed...until next time...and no, I am not going to use the spell check for this message.
