First of all I want to congradulate Paul for winning the bid for BR to host this event in 2003. Paul and Jerry Stoval made an excellent presentation.

Tom Babcock took fourth in the 242, 40-44. He set a PR and State Record in the deadlift..not a misprint.
He missed locking out by an inch of setting a National Record 473.7 bench held by the great Shawn Cane.Tom thanks for driving all the way there & back.

Mike Godawa placed third in the 198, 45-49 in only his second full meet. He went 8 for 9, all St. Records. His missed his 3rd sq. when he stood erect tried to pose and lost his balnace. Must be a throw back to his gymnatic days at LSU.

Marlon Harrison placed second in the 181, 40-44 against the "Best Lifter". He will be 45 soon and is setting sights on a National Championship in that divison.

Arval Bridges,a World Class Lifter, won the National Championship in the 148, 45-49. Even though he had some nagging injuries his lifts were very impressive. He then used his National/Internationl experience to coach us novices and select our next attempts. No one can adjust a bench shirt like Arval.

I cannot thank Arval enough for helping make my last squat attempt. I went from bombing to a National Championship. He gave me the down command "down down down down down down down down down" and at last UP!The judging was tough.

The complete results and all the numbers will post soon on the USAPL web site.
