Velonese's routine

Hi guys!

I'm back in the ball game!

So the first thing I'm going to do is see if I can get one of those saliva hormone tests, so I can gauge my current status, before I take any pills.

I know I do have some androgen dominant symptoms, so I will be drinking spearmint tea to help get that under control.

Other than the herbs that are TBD, I really need to focus on my overall health. I will be taking a daily multivitamin (women's one a day), and trying to eat well. My biggest thing is I don't eat enough. Usually it's well under 2000 calories a day. I get so focused on work and stuff that I either don't have an appetite, or I ignore it, so I have to stop that.

I also am focusing on mental blocks and negativity. I'm going to come up with some sort of daily routine to keep me in a success-mindset and to be happy with my body for now. I've read that you can't change what you don't accept, and a negative attitude towards my body will only perpetuate itself. I'm thinking maybe some sort of affirmations, but we'll see.

I read about royal jelly on Blackhairmedia in the body types section, and I also read about it in a post by Dee on the Hiddenfeet debacle thread. Has anyone here had experience with it?

Will be back with more later!

a hint!

hey! not to butt in, but i get the same way at work with eating... here's some of what i do just for general nutrition, but it also helps for boobie programs for us work-a-holics:

i make extra protein shake (healthy ones... protein powder, bran, ground flax, and frozen fruits with water or milk, blended) in the morning and put it in a big ol' 1-liter or so sized thermos. it is right at my desk, so i drink it through the day. i also try to regularly bring night-before leftovers to work for easy eating. i am lucky that my boss HATES being in the office so usually gets me to go to lunch with him or volunteers to bring something back (which can take awhile... he really hates being there). also, boil eggs on monday, wash them in cold water in the shells, and keep them handy. you can peel and eat all week with no work! soups also keep well, but watch the sodium. i also keep dried fruit and plain nuts in my desk (and give any cookies away). i limit the dried fruit because of the sugar, but i try to eat as healthy as possible most days anyway. you can also look at drinks like ensure to get you through the afternoon. they have protein versions and fiber versions and taste pretty good. they can be pricey, so look for coupons!

hope some of those things help! most are common sense and you probably already do them, but i had to be told to do just about all of them (i already struggle with being underweight) before i actually did them, so figured i may as well pass it along!

You're never butting in :)

Thanks so much for that advice! I haven't had boiled eggs or dried fruit in such a long time, I hadn't even thought of those!

I appreciate it, ma'am!
