Luba Baranova is alive and well. She is a slick operator, still running the business, using Roman as the front man as the so-called director. He seems harmless enough ties to the police.
Baranova the sea hag ripped me off $500, she set me up with a variety of meetings with the ladies. I was engage to a nice girl named Svitlana. I paid $500 for an engagement party, it was love at first sight for both, so I thought. The other $500 was for getting all the document together to process for a fiancee' visa.
Baranova coaches and brainwashes the girls to ask for money, $100 for electric, $100 for the flat, telephone $40, water $100(give me a break), internet $40 and $100 heat. I did this a short period of time and I confronted Svetlana about this and she states that Luba gets half of all the girls money. So the cats out of the bag now, After several letters asking for more money I wrote Baranova only to be called stingy and cheap and can not support a fiance' She said her services ended at the party and I should be careful about holding on to my money or I could lose Lana. Well, after no money sent, the I love you and miss you faded away. Svitlana M. could also be working with her.
Nothing but deceipt and lies from this sap sucker, Baranova, suck a long green one!! You will be report to the Embassy and to Interpol.

Dan,
I was there December 2007. Stayed at one of Baranova's Apartments, nice, 3 room. I did like the city. I had a driver, drove around the city seen the general area, drove to the foothills of the Carpathians Mountains, great views.
I doubt if the woman I fell in love with is going to come through, can not even get a e-mail these days, that **** Luba should not have played with this Scorpion!! I have a big sting!
Are you going there?

John,

I am planning to go this summer, June or July.

I have been trying to find a flat to rent, and also need to find a way to get from Kiev to Chernovtsy.

Hope everything works out for you,
Dan

I had the unfortunate experience of going to chernovtsy, with the intention of starting a relationship with a woman called oksana, who claimed to be a doctor. When i arrived and hadn't brought a wedding ring and expensive presents, the woman left me and told me to speak to luba. i spoke to her and she sent one of her girls to meet me, she said she was going to sort out our differences. the girl took me to one of mrs baranovas appartments, and thence to a posh restaurant with a couple of her other girls who helped themselves to a three course meal. including taxi it cost 550 hrn. they then asked me to pay for sex. when i refused they put lemon juice all over my food, as they knew from my letters that i had a bad allergy to citric acid. I was in agony for most of the week. i did not know about lubas club till i arrived, and baranova(lamb) then told me that i was a poor man and no good for her girls. that i should go back to england or hire a prostitute in chernovtsy, which i could get for 10 hrn. she then said i should look after my health with all my allergies an accident might happen.

Nic,
Sorry to hear of your misfortune. Putting the citrus items in your food to cause harm, is criminal! I met this co-called doctor, blond fairly attractive, claimed to deliver babies.
She tried to scam me, while in the apartment she received a phone call who she said was her father (most likely Luba coaching her) and he had come across on a deal for heaters, she then put on some theatrics and asked me if I had $200 to help her father, I told her I could not. She left from the date shortly after saying her daddy needed her home.
What was the name of the girl who took you to the apartment to sort things out? Spoke good English right?
We need to get the word out on this scam and foul action. How did you learn about Luba agency, what name agency was she operated under?

yes it was a blond girl. She lives in chernivtsi, not far away with her father, mother and daughter. I went to her house! She goes to the cheremosh hotel regularly with her daughter for english lessons. The blond girl was called oksana, but i don't think it's her real name. I have seen her listed on scam sites as natalia mochalova. i think the other girl was called tatiana, but to be honest i was more concerned with what they were saying than the names. I left with the impression that Ukrainian women were all sex maniacs, because Oksana kept trying to put the conversation onto sex. I asked her lots of questions, but she just said, so what do you wanna do?

mrs Baranova is definitely a wolf in sheeps clothing!I heard about her through elenas models. They had put a phoney profile on the site in the ladies catalogue would you beleive! When I went to the restaurant, they gave themselves away, by telling me that they had been writing to me for at least a year. that's when i got suspicious, as i had only been talking to oksana( at least that's what i thought) for a few months. Then i remembered a similar woman who claimed to be from a scam town in russia who was also a doctor at a non existent clinic.

hi john,

i'd love to know what this mrs baranova looks like. have you got any photos? i only spoke to her on the phone. I just talked to some of her girls. Apparently they coked up with me cause they got the dates wrong. i told them i was coming for easter, but easter is at the end of april in the Ukraine. So i had to stay at a local hotel. her girls told me about the agency and that i was supposed to bring an expensive present. I've had plenty of bad experiences with women in england to be fooled by that. i never give expensive presents on a first date!

Nic,
Hello! I do not have any picture of the old sea hag but have a picture of "Roman" the director. Beware of Julia H she ripped off a friend of mine "MG" for thousands of dollars and broke his heart. This Julia is suppose to be one of the interpreters. We need to bring this group down, hard to do. Ukraine has some good people in it, but this bunch I hope burns in hell..............

hi john,

I'd love to see this, and any photos you've got. They apparently go to the same places regularly, including the cheremosh hotel and this restaurant I was taken to. I bet the taxti drivers could tell you where this was. At the time I went, the road at the back of the appartment i was taken to, was a big dirt ditch. It was being repaired for their 600 year celebrations. I have a photo of Oksanas house and father!

Ivan,

I have heard that prices for Apartments are dropping all over Ukraine, because of the bad economy.

From what you have seen, how much has the price of Apartments dropped in Chernovtsy in the last year ?

you are right the apartment are dropping down.
for example, i watch the rate of price fall down in my city.
Last year to buy 2 room apartment 600 square feet without furniture cost 60-70 thousand dollars.
Nowadays it is possible to buy such apartment for 42-43 thousand dollars.
Now is the time when not the seller dictates his rights but the buyer, who has money.
i think if we wait a bit it will drop down a few thousand more.
Do you have any other questions?
ivan
