New to BRAVA

Hi everyone,

I am waiting for my BRAVA system to arrive. I've been reading these pages over a couple of days and it really seems to work. I'm interested in knowing the size increase people have had. I'm a 36 A and that's generous! I think the lady in Marksies was being nice. I've been obsessed for ages and was about to have a meeting next week for cosmetic surgery and then I spotted this.

Can amyone who is a similar size to me give and idea of growth I can realistically expect? Can you keep using it and buy bigger domes until you are the size you want to be?

when your swelling reaches within half an inch of the rigid dome, you should move up in domesize. i reached the tip of mine but then i started swelling not so much, so i never switched, even though i really should have. they say the more you use it the more you should grow. if you wear it for 10 weeks and like what you look like after the swelling goes down and right befpore putting the system on again, then you should double your wear time. So you would end up wearing it for 20 weeks to get the results you want..hope this helps.

Hi Minnie,

My BRAVA was delivered yesterday, been waiting for 3 weeks! It is much larger than I expected it to be. I used it last night for the first time. It took me a while to get the hang of it. It kept loosing suction (it's the manual not smart box). Once I got it in the right position though it was ok. I woke up this morning a little sore between breast's where the two domes had nipped slightly, will try a different position tonight. I wore it for a total of 13 and half hours so not bad. I had a swelling of about half a cup this morning on one side and about a quarter on the other. It went down after a few hours but that seems to be the way it works. Will keep on trying.

Let me know how you are getting on!

hi, well i got it a couple weeks ago and used it but i got sick and had to not use it for a couple nights, this is awful because it set me soo far behind, so last night was my official starting night too but w/ only 9 hrs, i did have significant swelling but i have noticed that it is not as much as the first couple nights wear, brava lady told me this was normal so don't be alarmed. i am a 32a and can no longer stand my small boobs, lol. I am going for at least 15 hrs per night,i do still lose suction and it really pisses me off especialy when i sweat, just keep your room cool, and make sure you flare the domes on your skin, make sure your bra is not too tight, unzip it a little or don't attach the velcrow this will help with your sternum hurting, i know what you mean. good luck to you. keep in touch :) may the most devoted win lol :)

Hi Minnie

March 21 2007, 8:26 PM

Hi Middie,

I found the same with my BRAVA the first couple of nights I had a really good swelling, almost an inch, I went down to about half an inch but haven't got any bigger over the last couple of nights. I think I lost suction through the night. I got one of those manual so no smart box to remind me! Was a little disapointed the morning. I am a 36 A and thats generous.

I had a day without it and that has put me back as I was covered in a rash that was red and had little white spots. I think it could be from sweating......

I've back on it again and managing about 12 hours a night so it isn;t too bad.

I read somewhere about leaving the top unzipped a little ad that really did help!

Just keep with it and I'm sure it will be worth it in the end!

Let me know how you get on.

hi its me again, i have had good nights with an average of about 12 hrs nightly and Ive have also noticed that the swelling is starting to stay alittle til the night wich means that i am soposed to be "GROWING" which is good :) im not stopping now. I havent had any problems with any rashes, mabe you are having problems because your sucsion is not 'regulated' with the smart box, which Ive been told by a brava coach can cause irritation, be very careful, when doing it manual, make sure it is only enough vac to hold them snug to your chest not so tight, if it is too tight this may also tear the silicone away from the domes. I am pissed because mine started to tear but i think it is a defect, i am still able to wear them with no problem. also you really need the "no-sting skin wipes, this puts a protective barrier on your skin.
where did you order your brava from and how are you manualy doing it?
:) Chat Later :)

Hi Minnie

March 24 2007, 9:16 AM

Hi Minnie,

I'm pleased your doing well. I have let it slip a little. I have been gettting bad backs every morning and it is starting to stop me sleeping. I had a night off last night but are going to wear it a little today so I can catch up a bit on my hours. Rashes aren't too bad now as I think I have been wearing it a little too tight. I'm getting good swelling on a morning and it is staying quite a bit now too. I didn't expect to see any improvement for a few weeks but after a week I can see a difference.
I bought it through an agent on ebay. It was an ex demo so had only been opened/not used. I love my electric blanket but I have turned it off incase I am sweating and that is causing a rash. It isn't as bad as it was now.

It's nice to keep in touch with someone who is at the same stage as me. Keep it going.

hi ,well i took a night off last night too but only because i had to snuggle with my honey, i really miss that sometimes but i am going to wear it way longer today and tomorrow, because if you miss 1 day in the first couple of weeks it takes you back to day one, well at least thats what the caoch told me; what a bummer! i love the swelling it really keeps me motivated. good luck!

For Minnie

March 29 2007, 8:58 PM

Hi Minnie

I'm really starting to notice a difference. I'm really big on a morning (well a lot bigger than I was) and I've still got a bit by the night time. After just an hour of wearing brava I'm really swollen.

The rashes have stopped and although i have a slight tenderness between my breasts it isn't half as bad as it was.

How are you doing?

irritation between breasts..

March 30 2007, 3:56 AM

I have read on this board or another that if you take a pantiliner and cut it in half, then put the pad side between your breasts on your sternum and leave the tape that covers the adhesive on it and put the domes on top of that it keeps the irritation down where the domes meet in the middle. By cutting it in half, it is small enough to fit between the two but not lose suction...

March 30 2007, 6:41 AM

hi ange, i did somthing really bad... i missed the last two nights, :( but i wore it for 11 hrs today and the swelling was wonderful. i really have the entire year to wear it, i don't want to, but if i have to i will. i really don't think that it matters because my swelling is much greater now; even with missed days, than it was in the beginning, and swelling is growth right? it just causes so much presure i really can't sleep, and if i wear it during the day all i do is eat; and personaly i look like HELL. encourage me please :)

Hi Minnie

Keep going it will be worth it in the end!

I have missed the odd might too but stil find that the swelling is staying until the evening now (hopefully I'm growing)

I've found that I've lost some suction through the night which is a bit of a bummer but are still plodding on. I'm finding that because I was so small I am noticing a differene. My breasts are rounder when you look at them. They don't seem to stick out much more than before but are definatly fuller at the top. If I wear a push up bra I find that I am 'popping out' at the top which is a great motivator for me.

I did have problems with the pressure making me ache but I just let little air out and then it was fine. You aren't sucking too much air out are you? I know when I did that it really hurt, and I didn't find any extra swelling in the morning!

I'm out all day today so can't wear it, but will be back to it tonight.

Kepp going, and keep in touch, don't miss any more nights!!!!!

Just to clarify one point which seems to be misunderstood above, swelling ISN'T growth.

no, swelling causes growth, gradualy; it is called tissue expansion.... that is what the Brava system does.

also, swelling does caus growth - but not until you have worn the system consecutively for 5 weeks - this is a proven fact - there is simply no realy growth before that point

just dont even think about growing until week 6 - that is if you have worn it EVERY SINGLE night in those 6 weeks

having said that - good luck!

re. back pain and soreness

April 6 2007, 5:48 PM

Hi
i enjoyed reading this conversation, specially because i could relate so much to it...
I wondered whether the back pain improves..I have only worn the systen for 4 nights (i know, i only started on tuesday)...but i sleep so poorly...my back hurts and i have to do lots of funny tuff with the pillows to try to prevent the hurting, but the improvment is not great...then i have soreness in different places, and i try to move slightly the domes and bra so that they are not in tocuh with the same area, but this is hard...finally my sternum is so hurt..my boyfriend finds hard to be empathic as he would say that i bought the system..but i did not know it was going to be so rough...like it hurts, and my breathing is all funny...

i might only be getting used to it, (first night only standed it for 7hours, so really 3hours sleeping) and tonight i coped with 15 (hahah 12 hours sleeping, that was a long so deserved night sleep)....so maybe it would all get better...nonetheless, any tricks?

Re: New to BRAVA

i still get little cramps, but my sternum doesn't hurt any more... unzip the black bra a little or do like i did and order a bigger size black bra, they will exchange it the first month; this really helped me. personaly before i go to bed i take NIQUIL or tylenol PM or Benadryl to help me get my ZZZZs :) good luck! remenber beauty has a cost.

after the initial excitement...plateau, and unsuccesful stories

April 12 2007, 7:15 PM

...
you wrote that "this part sucks", when breasts after swelling look smaller than before...I am there too, and is not even 2 weeks since i started...

yes i love the swelling and wish they stayed like that, so i think that if wearing the system will have that end result then it is all worthwhile. But i have read recently in this website lots of unsucessful stories, which is quite worrying to say the least.

also when i take the system off, my breasts are swollen, but so are my nipples who appear almost white. then they hurt (nipples) for the whole day, until i wear the brava again. they are big and it does not go.they hurt and hurt does not go. But the swelling disappears, and for some people Brava never works...

i do not want to be negative, actually i want to be positive and optimistic and so...but..should i worry about my nipples, would they stay like this forever, would my breasts be even smaller when i finally stop wearing the device???

so how does the rest cope with negative thoughts, unsuccesful stories and the rest?

i don't understand

April 15 2007, 10:59 AM

everyone keeps complaining over weird nipples but thats going to happen while wearing it; thats appart of it, yes mine look funny after, but the truth is that they will get back to normal. Nipples are funny looking things any way! I know that even swollen mine look better than a lot of chicks anyway! nipples are the least we need to worry about! :)
