If anyone has wide large domes to sell in good condition please post to let me know, I am interested. My wide mediums are deteriorating around the rims, and are almost too small. The left boob can touch the end after 14 hours of airlocking. And, the silicone in the rim of the right dome is deteriorating. The plastic covering it is fine, but the stuff inside is messed up somehow, it is kind of like the silicone filling has split/lost its cohesion. I think the airlock was more pressure than they could stand, but I did buy them used after all so perhaps they were just nearing the end of their useful life anyway. I estimate that I got nearly 800 hours out of them (9 weeks, averaging 12.5 hours per night). I had hoped that they would last longer but, oh well. I can't complain about outgrowing them.
I am thinking of getting either the Noogleberry or BB airlock set so that I can use that to pump up in the evening before putting the brava domes on. Then after the boobs have attained full swelling, switch over the the brava and only use enough pressure to maintain the swelling overnight. Is this what Louise used to do with the BB machine? I read back through some of the old posts, but couldn't tell if she was using the combined method to try to save her brava domes--it didn't seem that way.
Does anyone have recommendations on the BB domes versus the Noogleberry ones? From what I read on earlier posts, the BB might be more comfortable because the edges are curved to fit the ribs, not flat like the Noogleberry ones. But now the Noogleberry ones apparently have foam rims that fit to help make it less painful. I don't care so much about the pump. I have never had a problem manually sucking more air than the domes and my chest can stand, so if the bulb pump that comes with the BB airlock isn't as good as the Noogleberry one I don't care so much. I would rather have the better domes.
Progress is great. I am so happy with the results thus far. I measured this evening after 12.5 hours with the domes off and am now a little more than 1.5 inches bigger than when I started. Boobs are still on the small side of 34/36A, but so much better than nothing. Honestly, if I can keep what I have right now it is such a huge improvement I wouldn't complain at all....but I would obviously be even happier if they just kept on growing. It is true that you get spoiled by how things look when you first take the domes off in the morning ;)
Initially I had planned to do between 20 and 25 weeks. I think that will take me out to August, so maybe I will stop then for a few weeks and then do another cycle in the fall before the holidays and house guests get in the way.
JJ - how long did it take you to get to the 1.5" growth mark? Did you have kids ever or breastfeed? And, you said you're averaging 12.5 hours a night every night. I'm at 14 weeks and have only grown 1/2 inch so far and have had kids/breastfeed. I'm averaging 11 hours a night.
I noticed this morning that I was almost to the end of my wide larges even though I've only been using them for two weeks. I bought them new so they're in great condition. I'll check again in the morning to see if it's just because I had them positioned incorrectly or something...
Also, noogleberry is cheaper than BB I think, and just as effective from what I can tell. There are soft cup options too.

Hi,
Rox3, I am just past 9 weeks. I have one child and breastfed for almost a year. I think I posted before that at the end of breastfeeding (about a year ago) I was diagnosed with a hyperthyroid problem--I was severely hyperthyroid and when I stopped breastfeeding I was really thin. My body fat percentage was down to about 6%, and I had zero boobs. I looked like an anorexic 13 year old...boy. Well, I have gained almost 10 pounds back but none of it went back on my chest.
I have more boobs now than I did when getting pregnant, but at that time I had less than when I was a teenager. I did a lot of running for several years before getting pregnant and lost weight then too. Every time I lose weight I lose it off my chest first...and then when I gain it back none of it seems to go back on my chest. I drink quite a bit of coffee, not sure if maybe that is part of the problem. I have seen a couple of things online that indicate coffee and breast size are negatively related. That is so wrong!!!! Currently I am about 112 pounds or so, which is a good weight for me. When I am not pregnant and my thyroid is not beserk I tend to be pretty stable in terms of weight, so I really hope anything I get will stay a while.
I have to say that I think that longer wear time does make a big difference. One the weekends I try to get at least 2 days of 15+ hours per week--I really think this helps with getting faster results. Usually 12 hours is not a problem for me during the week, as I am a married graduate student with a two year old and my husband travels for work. I don't get out much. Also I am doing herbs, sort of. I forget them about every other day. Not sure if this helps any, but basically I was willing to try pretty much anything. It's pretty bad when you wish you had as much fat on your chest as your husband does.
Trigger, if you are interested in selling your wide large domes let me know. If the domes are essentially new I am willing to pay your original cost from Brava, plus shipping to TX. Do you use the Noogleberry domes? If so, do you find them tolerable for up to an hour or so? I was thinking to use some non-brava domes for about 30 minutes to an hour in the evening before putting the brava domes on. Then (if I can stop hitting the snooze button on my alarm clock), switch back to the non-brava in the morning for up to an hour or so and try to increase the pressure for a short while. That way I could hopefully not put so much pressure on the rims of the brava domes and they might last longer, but I would still be able to do some time at higher pressure for more swelling.
the noogleberry domes are definitely tolerable for an hour. I would do 2hours+ a couple of times a day before I had brava. Keep in mind they get less comfortable as you go up in size, depending on how wide around the chest you are. I got the XL domes just before my brava purchase, and they put quite a bit of pressure on my chest, so cut back to 1/2 sessions. But even a half hour can give you some good swelling. I might try it too, when I get home!
I'm traveling right now, and won't be home until around the 10th of May, so it's not really feasible to send them now, especially as I'd need to get some more lined up first (I'm in third wk). I had them placed a little high when it seemed like I'd reached the end. But I'll keep an eye on things over the next week or so, and if it looks like I'm going to need to move up sooner rather than later, I'll put in an order for XLs, and let you know!
Otherwise, good luck with finding what you need.

Thanks for letting me know. There are some WL domes one Ebay now that I think I will try for. If that does not work out then I will let you know. I need to do something soon as the right dome that has the problem with the silicone rim is getting really uncomfortable. The plastic edge pushes down into the silicone and I can feel it on my ribs. I can't use as much pressure because it is so uncomfortable. I have been trying different ways of swapping the domes around and upside down and probably can make it another week; but not much longer. Certainly I understand that you can't just stop at 3 weeks!!
hey J.J,
looks like I will be getting the XLs when I get home in a week, and could send you these larges if you like...

J.J, What is the difference between the sportbox and the airlock system?

Hi Tr1gger, I might still want the larges, not sure. I sort of panicked and ordered some narrow larges on Ebay, direct from brava (because my wide mediums are failing fast, it is harder and harder to get a seal and I really don't want to stop before going a full 20-25 weeks).
They have not arrived yet. I think they will work fine for me. If for some reason I find that they won't work after I have tried them a few nights then I will be looking for wide larges again, but right now I will have a hard time convincing my husband to let me spend the money on another pair unless absolutely necessary. I saw in another post that you are having difficulties with the domes and husband, etc. Hope that improves soon. He seems very supportive in that he is willing to go back and get the domes anyway; but it certainly is hard not having a cuddle. My husband has pretty much moved himself to another room. We have a memory foam mattress topper that he finds really hot (they retain body heat like crazy). Without some snuggling he says there is no reason to sleep in the insanely hot bed with me....sad. He is very supportive though. He refuses to say my chest looks better (after growing 1.5 inches) because that would be admitting he thought it was too flat before, or that bigger is generally better. He's not at all a boob guy. All along he said my chest was fine but supports me in doing this for myself if it was important to me. But he does say he can see a significant increase in size, which is encouraging. Such a sweetie.
Anet, when I say I am using the airlock I mean that I just manually suck air out with my mouth and then clip the tubing to lock it out. I use those big paper clips that have the plastic clip part and the little metal wire things that you push on to open the clip--the kind of paper clips that look like mini bag clips. I got my full brava system on Ebay second hand. When I started the sportbox worked, but it restarted and adjusted the pressure about every hour and a half. It was waking me up with the noise. So I switched to manually setting the pressure and locking it in with the clips. I have not had problems losing the suction while sleeping, and get more swelling this way.
Glad you found something. I'm sure they'll be great. The wide/larges are wider than the wide/mediums, and even a bit big on my 31" wide chest. Nice to hear I'm not alone in the challenge. Your husband sounds lovely, and is using exactly the same MO as mine! Loved mine already, would never say they look better, even in their swollen state (because it would be admitting big is better!! lol), and generally tries to be as supportive as possible. It WAS annoying for him getting up at 4.30am to drive five hours for the domes he's grown to hate! Poor man.
