It's just that it's obvious that for all his enthusiasm he just isn't a Conference striker. And no, 30 isn't past it - but I just think he's too lightweight and has unfortunately done all the developing he is going to do at 27/28! Good luck to him, and I'm not being negative - but I don't think you'd find many that think he would make the grade.
