Roscoe and things

Although I thought Chris Sharpling should have been man of the match, I was impressed with Roscoe DSane today. I don't think Geoff should rush into signing him just yet (he probably can't anyway) but he should definitely start up at Morecambe. He worked very well in a 4-4-2 - he looks a decent winger. Scotty was impressive after quite a long time out (though admittedly not through injury), and I've already mentioned Wazza (class). I thought the midfield looked pretty good: Barry Moore came back with a point to prove (actually I think BFG was quite clever dropping him and then explaining why in the press), and Steve Perkins got stuck in well - I thought he had a good game apart from when he lost his concentration for their second goal, but as the guy below said, he made up for that by setting up our third. (And yes, I did see that first half tackle, which was pretty crucial because L.Piper is an excellent player).

At the back I thought Eddie was superb. I also thought Scott Smith had a good game (maybe he CAN play in a flat back four after all), and Pipes was good too. Jamie I thought got pulled out of position fairly easily, and his marking didn't fill me with confidence. It wasn't his best game (in my opinion), but as usual, he gave his all.

The Farnborough no 7, Watson, was a disgrace. He deserved to be sent off (although secretly I was hoping Patterson would be) and I note that the Fboro fans don't seem to be too happy with him (some are even saying he should be sold).

It sets things up quite nicely for New Years' Day. I really hope the floodgates have opened for Sharps and he can continue this goalscoring because I think it's a habit ... and we've seen what he's like when he gets the habit!
