Response to Roscoe and things

Definitely Sharpee for me too, never stops working for the side even when things aren't going his way. Although I would have probably subbed in for Charlie after his 2nd as he looked completly knackered.

I like Roscoe, other than Chris, we lacked pace in the side and I thought that perhaps more should have been done to hang on to Roscoe after the Scarborough game, so far he looks to be a real asset to the club.

Eddie has been a revelation at the back, he still makes mistakes but not as many as I thought he would and his pace adds lot to our defense. I also think that Smudge's part in Eddie's performance shouldn't be overlooked. When Eddie does make one of his errors Smudge seems to switch to "sweeper mode" and is usually in the right place to tidy up. I still don't think Eddie is a long term solution but he's done far better than I expected.

Also agree about Jamie, I think he's a very good player but it's obvious that he's not playing in his natural position and that was exposed a few times on Wednesday. Unless BFG brings in someone else I think that Rob will get back in the side pretty quickly. Especially if we continue to play with a back four as, to me, Holly looks more effective as a full back rather than a wingback.

Overall I thought that our performance was encourgaing as Farnborough are a pretty good side. I have to say that the midfield is still a concern as boro did have too much posession for my liking and it was only because of the service to the forwards was quite poor and their finishing even worse that we won, despite doing our best to throw it away.

On the positive side when we did go forward we looked the more likely to score and the service to Sharpie and Wazza is getting better all the time.

All we need to do now is put in the same kind of effort away from home for the full 90 minutes.
