Oh, one of my all time favourites. I'd love to see him back. He was probably one of the most complete midfielders we ever saw BUT he still got incredible stick from some quarters, especially towards the end of his career!

Someone told me that he's got coaching experience and I don't know if that's true or not, but we were saying a while back that Ellis and/or Thommo would do a good job down here in some capacity. Thommo wouldn't come (geography), but Ellis might.

I also think Lol Batty could come back (should come back) as a GK coach. That's not knocking Colin as I understand he's not even allowed to use the goalmouth (!!!) but I do think it's a specialised sort of coaching and Lol would be ideal. I am sure that Flav learnt a lot from him in the past but Tony's the no 1 now - very young, and a lot of pressure.

For the record, although it's not relevant to use right now, I think full time is looking increasingly like a not-very-good idea so I'm glad we've held back. Our fitness could be improved, but we don't have to be full-time to do that (Dagenham? Margate?).

Yes, I do agree too... (and here is why...)

... when playing Computer Football, Ellis and Thompson were the two best players of my side (years 1996-1998).
Jones and Grant Payne were the worst.
Batty was a good GK (pretty old, but like for the chickens... old chicken good soup, sounds familiar this?).
Eddie Saunders was as terribly fast as horribly bad on ball control.
Michael Danzey was my favourite defender: with some tricks (aehm...) I got promoted with Woking (yes, I'm better than JMcG...), and at that time I was even able to sell him and Batty for a lot of Pounds... at Farnborough; I was not acknoledging the real situation among us and them... fortunately it was simply, just a computer game (USM98)!!!!!

I'm really sorry and/or disappointed about Danzey: no hope to see him playing??? No news about him, but really last, ggod news??? GOOD LUCK MICHAEL!!!

Ciao, Bobbo.

Andy Ellis

Is one of the tutors at Warwickhire college (where my son goes) - I think hes got the football 'brain' as well as the physical skill - not sure if he would have the time to travel from Leamington Spa withhis work and if he joined us it would end his playing career at Worcester - after all we don't have reserve sides to give the 'coahes' a game!
