I know it's off topic, but Lord of the Rings blows Harry Potter out of the water. I loved the Harry Potter books, and the film was quite good, but this is something else. Better acting, stunning effects - go see!
all these Wizards and Goblins. Sad sods at school with Hawkwind t-shirts and tedencies to form 'Dungeon and Dragon' clubs used to be in to all that tat.
We need films with more beer, faster cars and bigger women!
I'm no hippy, and although my parents most definitely were I can assure you that there were no Hawkwind t-shirts or Dungeons & Dragons clubs influencing my upbringing ... though I am rather proud of the fact that there always was (and still is) a rather large framed picture of Jimi Hendrix in my parents' living room! Of course, the record collection has diversified since 1976 and old Jimi now stands shoulder to shoulder with Ministry of Sound (amongst others!). Good on yer daddy.
I thought the film was really good but I've not read the book yet ... I read the Hobbit at school but not Lord of the Rings.
