Paul Steele's Injury

With the news that Steele's knee injury may have been aggrivated by him playing at Morecombe, I think that our lack of reserves may be very costly. I mentioned on here b4 that I think the lack of reserves has serverly hindered us this season, however with our best defender possibly out for the season, and squad players not playing, it could be a big factor in our relegation battle. I think we'd lose more money being relegated, than having a reserve side would have cost us.

( However, I hope I'm proved wrong. )

I said as much in the match report. I think that the lack of a reserve side could cost us too dear. Jamie Pitman has been playing against medical advice - Rob H is back in training but if we had a reserve side, surely he would have come back sooner. Jamie Pitman is now out for the rest of the season and I can't help asking - was this avoidable?

We've also had a large, swollen squad and we're paying them wages, probably more than reserve players would have been on. I know that the actual matches also cost money, but even so ...

Lets just hope that with Chris's money we can set up a reserve side for next season.
