I was sitting around yesterday, pondering idlly (as you do on a Sunday afternoon). My mind started to wander back to the old glory days of football. I remember a game for the C64, possibly International Soccer (original name!), this was a game which had a specially programmed version that had wheelchair football.
Now one of my mates told me that this game was a representation of what would happen if the beautiful game of football was organized by gangsters, and players were on the take.
My question to anyone out there who can answer it is do you think there is a place for adventure & role playing games in the retro gaming world? Personally I look back on some of them with great fondness, but can they hold their own with the new wave of role playing games like Pokemon and Final Fantasy? Just curious like!

Yup - my mate who had a C64 had wheelchair football AND whelchair basketball. I think they must have been hacked versions of International Fottbal and Internation Basketball. Bit sick I reckon but identical in gameplay to the Commodore originals.
