I recently found a set of promotional baseball cards and an 8x10 of Babe Ruth while going through my uncle's estate. I am trying to find out some information about them since I can't seem to find them in the collectors books I have looked through. Maybe I am just looking in the wrong places.
It seems to be a promotion of some kind from General Ice Cream Corp. out of Schenectady, NY. The set of cards are on a 8x10 sheet, perferated, 6 count. Included was the separate photo which is stamp signed "Best of Luck, Babe Ruth". All I know of the age is that they must have been issued after 1927 since one of the cards is dated 1927 and one is 1928.
That Corp is no longer listed as far as I can find in the phone book. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
