Hello Kelly,
The Pontiac Turning Co. features an Indian trademark logo but, I think they were located in Michigan. There were many small private, and local wood turning companies that made baseball bats. the label being from Napanoch, NY is familiar to me but, I can't put a finger on it at the moment. If you could post a picture I might recognize it.
Either way, the bulk of the value for collectible baseball bats typically rely on player endorsements. Without an endorsement the value will rely on vintage bat features such decals or a mushroom knob. The knob of your bat that "has no lip at the handle" fits the description of a mushroom or simalar vintage style bat knob.
Bats with this stle knob or like it are very collectible, and can sell in the $200.-$400. price range depending on the condition, and company that made it.
See if you can post a picture, and we'll see if we can get a more accurate value for you. If you need help or if it is easier, you can send one to my email. -Steven KeyMan
