I am hoping you can give me some idea of the value of an autographed baseball my grandfather gave me. It may be a 1953 World Series ball. My Grandfather was a sports photographer for the NY Herald Tribune and covered games. It's a Spalding ball marked 1953 and says "Official National League." There are about 20 signatures including Johnny Mize, Carl Furillo, Jackie Robinson, Casey Stengel, Mickey Mantle, Gil Hodges, Pee Wee Reese, Roy Campenella, Billy Cox, and Preacher Roe. The ball itself is in very good condition. Some of the signatures are clear. others are faded. Also any suggestions on how best to preserve it are welcome.
Thanks,
Mike |
