The "Ball Hawk" models first appeared in catalogs around 1946. Here is a 1947 Reach Ball Hawk from a 1947 ad. The glove pictured is a 267 model. The 246 as you mentioned is the youth model.
Your description for the Nokona glove pretty much covers most of the gloves made before 1950, as you thought. Below is a Nokona catalog ad from 1946.
