Response to Question about my 1940's Official Negro American League Ball

Hello James,

There are four "J. B. Martin" Negro American League baseballs made from 1940-1962. Wilson made the baseballs from 1940-1955 and can be broken down to three different eras. Rawlings made the baseball from 1956-1962.

Value is based on past auctions and sales, but because these baseballs rarely surface in the market, there is little sales history to break down the value for each specific baseball into separate values. They all basically sell in the same price range and in the guide all lumped together into one value.

Because they rarely hit the market the demand, and value should be the same for all four baseballs. Most collectors just want to get an example in their collection. -Steven
