Poor House Mountain

Hi Richard

I don't know if there are any records of who was in the Poor House, unless you find them listed there on the census. Poor House Mtn and the Poor House was owned by my Great-uncle Thomas Jefferson Gullatt b. 1820 d.1897 and is still in the Gullatt family. I don't know who ran it after he died. As far as I know the only thing left on top of the mountain is the cemetery.
Copies of marriage and death records can be ordered from the Counthouse at Scottsboro, last I heard they were $2.00 per copy. If they are ordered from the State Archives in Montgomery they are much more.
