Waldrip Family in Jackson County

My GGrandparents, James J. Waldrip and Mary Ann Ramsey were married in Jackson County, Alabama. December 26, 1886.

Mary Ann's family was from St. Clair county, but I can't find James "Jim" Waldrip's family. I know that they eventually lived in DeKalb and Etowah counties, and maybe even in Cherokee county, Alabama, but can't find a trace. They are both buried at Mt. Pisgah in Etowah County.

If you have any Waldrip/Waldrep/Waldrop/Waldrup family that might connect, I would appreciate a note from you.
