I think John Burks was my great great grandfather

My grandfathers name was Joseph Franklin Burks from Jackson, Alabama. His dad was John Burks the yongest of the kids you listed in your posting. We have that John married Rebecca Muse and they moved to Arkansas. I think maybe the John Burks you are talking about may have been his father and married to a "Mary" that is the name of the mother of our John Burks from Alabama. We have been unable to find a listing for "Mary's husband" we just knew she was a widow in the 1870 census and our John was 4 years old. If you could help us at all we would appreciate it.
