Ivy family of NC and AL - Charles and Margaret Ivy

Looking for information on Charles Ivy b 1785 in Johnston County, NC. Married to Margaret Griffin probably in NC.

1840 census records shows 5 male children under 20.

Later census records in Alababam show Charles Ivy, Jr. and Montgomery Ivy.

I do belive Joseph Griffin Ivy married to Nancy Hambrick to be his son also.

Would love any information on this Charles and his family, no matter how small. I am wondering if he could be a son to David Ivy, Sr and Media Long as his date of birth fits in with their other children and several of them were also born in Johnston County, NC.
