This is so I can take it internally and also dissolve it in water to make a massage mix. The liquid is not recommended for internal use due to how it's extracted. I haven't heard back again from the company about whether it's okay for me to use this product in both ways, so I am wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this in the meantime.
It's expensive, so I'm wondering if others would want to buy some of this from me should I decide to go ahead. I live in Canada. I don't need 1 kg, I think! lol I guess another option is I try St. Herb serum, maybe, and the capsules. i just prefer using pure stuff, though.
1. Are you sure this dried pueraria is from St.Herb? I checked out the link you added and couldn't find St. herb on any of them, Just Pueraria. thai ,and no certificate of assay or guarantee of analysis ( which the actual St. Herb site is quick to provide)to make sure it's not wild grown PM (and therefor not as good a quality). All of the references and studies on this site were the standard basic info available on most pueraia sites, but I couldn't find anything specific about this particular fomulation.
2. I would be cautious taking this internally for a couple of reasons. At first glance, you don't know how potent this stuff is.How would you control dosing? If the company responds to you, I would ask for a certificate of assay and Guarantee of Analysis to look over FIRST. Then make up your mind.
HOWEVER>>>>>
You said in your post that "The liquid is not recommended for internal use due to how it's extracted." Should that not be the answer right there?
Using topically irregardless of where it's from should cause no harm and I would think safe to use. If it is from St. Herb, and the more potent farmed PM.....perfect! If it's wild grown......you might not get the results you want but No harm, No foul! :)
What definition of pure are you refering to when you say you want just the pure stuff? Do you just not want the other additives (tropical herbs) added to the St. Herb caps? I am confused by this part! Could you clarify for me? Weekend brain kicking in!
I wrote to St. Herb via the raw material section on their website and when they replied they directed me to that site for ordering. I will ask them what you advise to make sure it's the right stuff. I assumed it was, but it's good to check for sure, I agree!
About the liquid, they told me that for internal use, the liquid form they offer on the site is not suitable, but the powders are, so that's why I'm pursuing the powder.
By pure, I mean nothing but PM, and of course from the best source.
Deborah was thinking of selling the liquid they offer, but not any time soon it seems. Again, the liquid is for external use, not internal. I wanted external most, but wanted flexibility.
As for dosing, I would get their advice about that based on potency.
Thanks for your helpful post! I will let you know more when I do.
Yes, it's definitely St. Herb stuff, and all the assays that they sent me are St. Herb :)
I am not much further ahead because I wonder if St. Herb's addition of other herbs in their pills help make it more effective than if I took pure PM.
It seems that nano technology is probably better for allowing penetration of PM, so I'm not as keen on ordering the liquid, either. The savings would be vast should I continue with PM, but I've only used Blossom-s soap so far (and love it) so who knows how much I'll want over time.
I am concerned about money so that's where the dilemna is.
Deborah told me this:
As far as dissolving the powder in to water and making your own topical I would suggest that you
use the liquid extract instead - the 100% not the 80%. I know they do sell it for commercial purposes...The minimum is a bit more than most want to buy, I think 260.00, but you might have someone who will spit it with you ... that would be better than using the powder... yhe powder is supplement
grade...the liquid is cosmeceutical grade.
Thanks for getting back with your new info...and keeping us updated with new from Deborah :)
Decisions, decisions. I'm wondering if the 20% tropical herbs added to the formula are important for keeping things in better balance. Like adding or reducing varying factors in an individual herb routine? Perhaps this is why it is effective while still being a simple program to follow? Just thinking out loud, however we've found that finding the right balance with herbs and their different functions to be SOOO important, I wonder what problems could potentially arrise if taking nothing but PM as opposed to a formula. Eg, as noted in a post yesterday, St. herb adds progesterone to its formula. If taking PM alone, would you then have to find a way to balance the high amout of (phyto) estrogens in your body?
Internally, I think this is worth contemplating. Externally, heck ya, if I hadn't already ordered creams and lotions and potions to last for quite a while, I would consider going in with you on something like this, but I'm set till Christmas! :)
I agree that the formula may be key, not just PM alone. Without knowing enough about this, it's safer for me to go with what has worked for other people instead of trying to concoct my own stuff! At least Deborah has some deals on the products. :)
Till more is know about the necessity of the formula, I think you're probably making a good call. Deb is awesome and you're right about the prices...hard to beat on ANY program! :)
I am very happy that you guys have found my store and my input helpful. I hear there is question about the "other herbs" and progesterone...I am going to see if I can gather any more info on this as I need the facts here too.
One expert, the soap manufacturer, tells me that ADDING progesterone, natural cream or lotion for transdermal application. This is even more important if you are menopausal or post menopausal. Use a good product, I am considering carrying one when I find out which one is best...if anyone knows which brand of progesterone cream is good let me know.
I am finding out things from reading the posts here that are very helpful in my business. I am hearing the sore nipples are a potential problem with the soap as it is very hard not to get the lather on them. I have not found this but it is good to know that it does happen to some.
Try working up the lather until it is almost like a lotion or cream so it doesn't drip. Then rinse right before you get out. It is hard to do, I admit. I have not found sore nipples..just sensations of breast fullness and a bit of tenderness.
My daughter in law has been using just the soap before bed and not rinsing completely...this may or may not work for some, depending on your level of sensitivity. She says that she leaves a tiny residue on the skin to absorb overnight. She is not using anything but the soap and has reported definite "growing signs"...and my son...he says her breast are definitely firmer and becoming more defined. She has only been using it for a short while. She is VERY small breasted and I would like to get a before and after. I am starting her on the Nano cream..(yes the 15 ml is too small) and will see how that combo works for her . She is very excited about the possibility that she can still grow!
