I was browsing the net last night and found quite a few clinics doing it in London.
They inject a filler into your breast and it fills it out and usually increases the volume by about a cup size. The only downside I could see what that is only last about 14 months and then you need a top up. It is also expensive.
The effects looked good, though.
Even though they inject hyaluronic acid, and apparently the body already contains loads of this so therefore doesnt treat it as a foreign substance, it is slightly worrying that you have to put something in your body every year or so, but it looks great.
I hope it goes down in price, and has more of a profile, then I'd definitely do it.
From the way you describe it, the injections can't make your breasts actually bigger, but what they do is fill out the volume of what you already have? But what if you're existing type is small but full?
I used Brava and got swelling to about G cup, maybe you could try that if needed to make the skin more stretchy, I ended up going from small B to decent C cup while losing about 15 lbs and I din't get stretch marks.

I don't see why this would replace breast implants. The way I look at it, with implants you can go a lot bigger and it will last a lot longer. I bet in future there will be a lot more women still having implants than these injections. Plus in the long run implants are going to work out a lot less cost than the macrolane.
But this is much much much safer and the result will look and feel more natural. Also it wears off so if you don't like them then they'll go away.

It's much safer but more expensive in the long run. The key thing is how big you want to go. With macrolane the size increase is limited to a cup size at best, with implants you can have whatever you want.

It's not been PROVEN to be safer just yet. I think women having macrolane done now are guinea pigs.

Why wouldn't it be safe? It's 100% hyaluronic acid. hyaluronic acid can be found in our connective, epithelial, and neural tissues. It is an important component of articular cartilage, where it is present as a coat around each cell , it is also a major component of skin, where it is involved in tissue repair. The goo inside an eyeball consists partly of hyaluronate too.
Now... where is the danger?

I didn't say it wasn't safe. I said it hasn't been PROVEN to be safe. Different statement entirely.

Has breathing been proven 100% safe? Perhaps you should hold your breath until it has been.

As many cosmetic surgeons have pointed out, this kind of material has never been injected into breasts before, so it seems sensible to reserve judgement on it and see in the fullness of time whether it' s actually safe or not. If it shows no harmful effects then it's safe, in which case so much the better.

Are there any Dr. doing this in the US? What about Dallas, Texas?
Is it FDA approved?
No, there are no doctors doing this anywhere in the US. Macrolane is not available in the US.

macrolane in mexico?
July 11 2008, 7:33 PM
Does anyone know if there are doctors in mexico using macolane? As well, much discussion has been about breast enhancement, but i have read that is has been used for the buttocks. I appreciate any informed feedback.
At the present time, Macrolane is only available in Europe and Japan. But it's bound to reach Mexico eventually, since Mexico is one of the biggest countries in the world for cosmetic enhancements.
