Re: Squash profile is hopeless

I read Geoff Hunt applauding the fantastic media coverage of the event and how much it has raised the squash profile.

He must be watching a different channel 9 to me and he must be reading different newspapers to me.

Unless you have first paid for foxtel cable and THEN paid again for the squash channel, you will be seeing next to no squash on the Comm games channel 9.

It seems to me the only exposure the game will be getting is to the already committed squash fanatics as these will be the only people willing to pay twice to subscribe to the cable coverage.

How is this increasing the profile to the public at large I ask ?

Perhaps there is a glimmer of hope of some prime time free to air coverage considering Aust has sisters playing off for the final and a certain gold and silver medal, plus Palmer will get either gold or silver as well.

I would not bet on it, but lets see what gets shown tonight.
