CONGRATULATIONS!!!! And congratulations to all the other winners on Saturday and on Sunday!!!!!
We had a big dissappointment...my g.f., Chris, who was the one who really wanted to go to those shows called the secy' and told them she was mailing a money order and made sure she had the right address....and they never got her entry!!!!! I paid the xtra to do it on infodog and mine they got...but I still had not gotten entries back from show itself...did not know what time show started until we pulled into Red Roof around 10:30-ish and saw some bully people walking their dogs...thank goodness...I would never have made an 8 am class if I didn't know that was when sweeps started.
We left after my puppy, Bubbles, went in in regular classes ... didn't want to waste money on room...we drove about 375 miles and she couldn't show her dog!!! AUUGGHHHHHH!!! I had thrown Bubbles in just to get her some experience...she was a whole 6 1/2 mo old...and immature...but she took 1st in her sweeps class and 2nd in her regular class...which was a lovely surprise...and she stood still for about 20+ seconds at a time...almost! Maybe by Nationals she will actually have enough control to stand still longer!
It was great to see Cati, Barb M, Cathy C., the Elliotts, and meet Dawn S in person, (and Alf in "Pawson") though I knew I must have seen her before!!!
The club did a nice job on hospitality and I got some of my Xmas shopping done with sweatshirts for hubby...and a couple for me. Set up was nice, folks were great...it was just such a shame!!! And coming from NY I knew some people but not all so I didn't even get a chance to really notice about winners in Sweeps...so sorry for that...G.F. had called to cancel hotel room for Sat night and ran back to move our stuff out.
Hope the match went well Saturday too...we were busy driving back home...
BUMMER for us...though I have to say I am pleased as punch that Bubbles is coming along the way I wanted her to...she needs to mature but she was totally non plussed by noise and activity and moved on nice loose leash and loves the darn ramp...she'd go up and down if I'd let her...and it was her first night away from home and she was great....even at 2 am when I heard her and Chris' Pippa shuffling around in the crate...so out we went...and then I got the 'itchies' and ended up taking a shower around 3 am...basically a night of almost no sleep....but I had lots of fun and club did a good job. My husband was very impressed with Bubbles winning a trophy with bully medallion on top!
CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN TO ALL THE WINNERS AND ESPECIALLY
BIG Loverly Win for you!!!!! Good job Detroit and Toledo BC Clubs!
